How YOU Can Make a Difference!
So you want some ideas on how you can make a
difference? Here is a list to get you brain storming and your ideas flowing.
If you have an idea that is not on this page and you want to share it with
everyone, email it over to us at
tim.leeloy@archtoronto.org.
I would ask that, after your fund raiser, you send
this Tracking and
Recognition Form to us so that we can track and recognize the wonderful
things you are doing in your school!

dress for ShareLife success
...
Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to get
your entire school wearing the ShareLife colours - green and white. Commit
contributions from your dress-down day to ShareLife!
get to know your ShareLife agency!
Find a ShareLife agency in your community and get
students to visit once a month for the entire school year
(I bet you can get community service hours if you do!!!)
whacha gonna do with all that junk inside that trunk?
Have a garage sale from the trunk of your car! Get
everyone who drives to school (including teachers) to bring all their junk
from home and drive it to school to have a giant trunk sale for one period
out of the day. Charge each car participating $20 per parking spot to
participate!
commercial break
Make a video or audio commercial of one of your
ShareLife events, and we will highlight it on the
www.sharelife.org website. Maybe other schools will play them at
their schools!
knees say cheese
Take pictures of teacher’s knees and have students pay
to submit their guesses of which knees belong to which teacher. Offer a
prize for the correct match (ShareLife can give you prizes)
ShareLife day!!
Get someone to come to your school to provide
information and awareness about ShareLife to your teachers and students.
a-thon it up!
Organize a walk-a-thon, dance-a-thon, ANYTHING-a-thon,
and have students collect pledges.
ShareLife idol!!
Have a talent night featuring different acts and music
done by your teachers and students. Charge admission to attend.
sing it!
Are you a composer? Write a song about ShareLife and
send it to us so we can put it on the web!
community support
Try to get a local merchant to match amounts that you
raise through a fundraising event (A good place to look for this would be
on the back of the church bulletin)
butler for a day
Sell your Grade 12s to other students in the school
for one day. They would have to do things like clean your locker, hand
out and even carry your books to class!

These are just a few of the great ideas that you might
want to try. Like I said before, if you have a great fundraiser or event
that you want to share, send it along, and don’t forget to check back again
for more great ideas!
