14th Annual Corporate Golf Tournament Brings Fun to Fundraising!
On June 10, 2009 the stars aligned as we welcomed the sun and 172 enthusiastic golfers to the 14th Annual ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournament presented by Scotiabank Group. Our signature fundraising event, held again this at Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility brought out some healthy competition, good laughs, unique prizes and auction items, and a buffet dinner, all in support of the 29 ShareLife-funded social service agencies that deliver programs and services to those most in need in our community.
For 14 years, this wonderful event has enjoyed significant support from the corporate community. It has provided an ideal setting from which we can connect with those donors whose corporate responsibility aligns with our cause.
We are delighted that more than 25 sponsors came on board this year to support our efforts and make this tournament a huge success. Special thanks goes to new sponsors Davis + Henderson, Markson MacDonald-The Barristers Group, Toronto Digital Imaging and TELUS. Additionally, enticing Silent Auction items rounded out our fundraising efforts, helping us achieve our target for the 14th straight year. Of special note: 2 Bottecchia Fitness Bikes donated by Helen & David Jones of Invita Sport; TD Bank Executive Box at the ACC for a concert by the artist Pink; A pear-shaped diamond pendant with chain donated by Diamond Source and a $2,500 gift certificate from itravel2000
These amazing auction items and many more proved to be the talk of the event and we are indebted to all those who donated items to make this such a wonderful part of the day’s festivities.

2009 Corporate Patron's Lunch
On May 12th, we celebrated the growth and success of the 2009 ShareLife Patron’s Appeal with our annual Luncheon. The newly-renovated Gardiner Museum played host to this year’s event which honoured those individuals who have supported ShareLife this past year, helping our efforts in the community. In addition to some inspiring words from Archbishop Collins and ShareLife Corporate Campaign Chair Colleen Johnston, guests enjoyed a sumptuous Jamie Kennedy inspired meal.
