Campaign 2005 Underway – Goal Set at $1.15 Million

The 2005 ShareLife Corporate Campaign is underway. Our campaign target has been set at $1.15 million. In an open letter to the corporate community, our new Corporate Campaign chair, Mr. Maurice Hudon, wrote: "Together, I am hopeful that we will not only reach our target in 2005, but surpass it as well. Your investment in ShareLife will help strengthen the community at large. On behalf of the ShareLife Corporate Campaign team and the people whose lives we have the opportunity to touch this year, I thank you for your generous support."

Date For 2005 Corporate Golf Tournament Set

Polish off your golf clubs and get ready to tee off for charity. The 2005 ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournament has been set for June 15, 2005. We’re still working on the details, so watch this space for updates. If you or your company would like to be a sponsor or donate a prize for our prize table or silent auction, please contact ShareLife’s Manager of Corporate and Community Campaigns, Keith Hall.

2005 ShareLife Golf Tournament Most Successful Ever

The 10th annual ShareLife golf tournament this year was a resounding success. In fact, it was the most successful ever. We managed to raise $83,000 toward the ShareLife Corporate appeal. A fun time was had by all and everyone looked every bit as good as Tiger Woods on the links (at least in our own minds). But the important thing was that we helped raise funds for those in need in and around our community. We want to thank all our sponsors who helped make this event the success it was. We want to extend a special thank you to our corporate partner who helped us put on the event - BMO Financial Group. We also want to thank everyone who participated and contributed to this worthwhile cause.

A New Agency

ShareLife has welcomed a new agency into our family, brining the number to 30. We now support Pelletier Homes For Youth, which operates one group home and six foster care residences which serve 27 young women between the ages of 12 and 18. These youth turn to Pelletier to escape serious difficulties such as abuse. They face barriers to self-sufficiency, including emotional problems, low education, truancy, substance abuse and poverty.

Campaign 2005 Raises Record Amount

The 2005 Corporate Campaign is in the books, and we are delighted to report that we raised a record $1,207,581 million within the corporate community. For that, we wish to extend our sincere thanks for your generosity in reaching out to help those in need in our community by supporting ShareLife this year.

Thanks to your generosity, we exceeded our Campaign Goal of $1,15 million. The response of individual businesses and community leaders who have supported our Corporate Campaign through the Patrons Appeal has been heartfelt. This year we had sixteen new supporters of the Patrons Appeal contributing almost $235,000, an increase of over $40,000 from the 2004 Campaign.

Despite our success, we unfortunately can not afford to feel complacent, as last year we identified an additional $500,000 in agency needs. So even with a record campaign, we are not meeting all the requirements of our agencies. ShareLife is looking forward to the launch of our 2005-06 Campaign as we look to build on a successful campaign with the help of our generous supporters. Thank you for your continue support.
