Corporate Campaign 2004 Underway!

Campaign 2004 is underway and our theme this year is Sharing Today For Hope Tomorrow! How we help today, can, will and does make a difference. The needs in our community are great, but we are confident that with your support we can not only meet those needs, but surpass them. Our Corporate Campaign goal for 2004 is $1.25 million.

Register Now for the 9th Annual ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournment - Wednesday June 16, 2004

It's time to tee off for charity. The 9th Annual ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournament is just around the corner. It will be held Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at the Royal Ashburn Golf Club. It's a shot-gun format, with first tee-off at 12:45 p.m. In addition to the golf, there will be an evening raffle, door prizes, a 50/50 draw and a silent auction. As always, it will be a good time… but most importantly, it's for a great cause. All money raised goes to the 29 social services agencies that we represent.

The ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournament a Success

The ShareLife Corporate Golf Tournament helped us raise close to $70,000. The event, held at Royal Ashburn Golf Club this past June, was made possible in large part to BMO Financial Group, which was the official sponsor of the event. We’d also like to thank St. Joseph’s Corporation for their support as well at the event, donating the golf shirts. Watch this space for updates on next year’s event.

Work In Progress

You’re going to notice some changes to the Corporate site over the next couple of weeks, especially right here on the latest news page. We’re in the process of updating content and putting news briefs and campaign result highlights up as we receive them. If you’ve got any suggestions, we encourage you to drop us a quick note.

Extending Our Reach

You may have noticed that the number of agencies supported by our Corporate Campaign has increased by one to 29. This year, we have added Vita Manor, an agency working in partnership with the Peel community to provide pregnant women and their children with opportunities to enhance their well-being, build their families and live to their fullest potential. You can find out more about Vita Manor by visiting their web site at www.vitamanor.org .

ShareLife Welcomes New Corporate Chair...

ShareLife is pleased to welcome Mr. Maurice Hudon, Senior Executive Vice-President at BMO Financial Group, as our new Corporate Campaign Chair. He will oversee the 2005 Campaign. One of his first orders of business was to announce the corporate campaign target for 2005 -- it has been set at $1.15 million. In an open letter to the corporate community, Mr. Hudon wrote: "Together, I am hopeful that we will not only reach our target in 2005, but surpass it as well. Your investment in ShareLife will help strengthen the community at large. On behalf of the ShareLife Corporate Campaign team and the people whose lives we have the opportunity to touch this year, I thank you for your generous support."

Campaign 2004 in the Books

The 2004 Corporate Campaign raised $1.11 million. That marks the seventh consecutive year that the corporate campaign has surpassed the million dollar mark.  Other highlights of the campaign include: our Patrons Appeal raised close to $200,000 and BMO Financial Group signed on as our new sponsor for the Corporate Golf Tournament. We would like to thank all those companies who have generously donated and the special patrons who made this last campaign a success.  We look forward to your continued support in 2005.
